Chapel Hill plan would replace Weaver Dairy Road mobile home park with Hanover apartments | The Herald Sun

Why not modular, really small and really inexpensive easy-to-maintain and programmed-to-maintain dwellings in place of what is there now - giving great people an attractive place to live and the community a functioning and appealing new development?

Chapel Hill island living

I want to work with others to create a map of Chapel Hill that shows all of the homes that have a pedestrian connection to a food store v those that do not. When I say pedestrian access, I am referring to a space from which automobiles are barred with the exception of crosswalks. So that means sidewalks and trails. Here in Southern Village, ALL of us can reach a grocery store, in fact many of them, including downtown Chapel Hill and other commercial centers such as Eastgate that meet this criterion of pedestrian access. But the res of Chapel Hill. How many homes?

Dick's - why would rational people shop there?

Today's newspaper insert for Dick's includes a full page of guns and a another page almost entirely made up of serious weapons. How does this contribute to our community? Why would anyone with a brain patronize such a store? Guns are bad and we need to reduce, not increase, the number of them in Chapelboroham.

Why not?

Why not require all stores to provide specific instruction on how to dispose properly of all packaging sold with products and services? The instructions would be tailored automatically to each purchase so as to deal with all components from plastic/paper bags to batteries, etc.

Chapel Hill candidate Hongbin Gu finds Town Council campaign mailbox closed before election | The Herald Sun

At the very least, she should insist that the US Postal Inspection Service carry out a full investigation. Every person with access to the box ought to be interviewed.

Chapelboroham News, Notes & Stories

Why not have our police departments offer a secure locker for any gun that a citizen insists on retaining? Get them out of homes and on the streets except when someone checks out her/his gun for a restricted period of time.

Maria Palmer for Chapel Hill Town Council

I was going to tell her not to leave any doorknob hangers on front doors as someone did today, but this candidate does not even have a way to contact her directly, or her campaign. I just wanted to send a message and she puts hoops in the way, totally unnecessarily. I stopped supporting her a long time ago and will oppose her election this year.

Chapel Hill-Carrboro schools ban Confederate flag, swastika, other ‘threatening’ symbols | News & Observer

Government, alas, has no place trying to regulate what people think, say or how they express themselves. This is a highly ill-advised move done with good intent and a misunderstanding of our system of freedom of expression.
